HMD Crest pops up on Geekbench

HMD Crest and Crest Max are phones that HMD plans to announce exclusively for the Indian market. These phones will have different hardware than the Pulse Pro, more powerful yet still retaining a good price. Not much is known about the hardware specs, but smashx_60 shared details of several phones HMD is making, and one of those runs on the SD6 Gen3, a solid candidate for being the HMD Crest.

However, HMD Crest popped up on Geekbench, showing results similar to the SD 480 5G, with a single-core score of 689 and a multi-core score of 2082. The Geekbench test also suggests that the chipset might be the SD6 Gen3 since the cores of that chip can be clocked over 2 GHz. If true, the basic specs and render of the View, as revealed by smashx_60, might be the Arrow or HMD Crest.

HMD View:

  • OLED FHD+
  • 50MP OIS Main
  • SD6 Gen3 SoC
  • 8GB RAM
  • 4,700mAh battery
  • Meteor Black, Ice, Velvet

The Geekbench result revealed that the tested phone has 8GB of RAM and that its model name is Arrow, the name chosen by fans in India. All in all, the HMD Crest is almost ready to be presented to the folks. Now my interest is all focused on the price of this device, because if it is not right, the phone might fail compared to the phones of the main competitors at that market.
