HMD launching Nokia 220 4G in China

HMD announced the Nokia 220 4G back in 2020, but it appears this model will also undergo a refresh. The updated version of the Nokia 220 4G is set to launch in the Chinese market on April 29, with the announcement made via the Weibo network.

Priced at 299 yuan, approximately $41, the Nokia 220 4G features a 2.8-inch IPS screen with improved font icons for easier navigation. It also includes a USB-C 2.0 connection port for charging its 1450 mAh battery. Notably, the device boasts “level 9 loud volume” for clear audio, ideal for users who enjoy listening to music over loudspeakers. Additionally, Bluetooth 5.0 support ensures low energy consumption and latency for audio.

The device supports dual SIM cards, allowing users in China to utilize multiple networks simultaneously. It offers 4G connectivity along with VoLTE support. While the internal memory is limited with 64MB RAM and 128MB storage space, a MicroSD card slot is available for expansion.
