Lippincott design studio is behind Nokia’s new logo

As you may remember, it was not long ago that Nokia rebranded itself with a new Nokia logo. Sure, we’re talking about the Finnish company, not HMD, which is using the Nokia brand for its smartphones and tablets. That very logo, which you can find on Nokia phones hasn’t been changed, but Nokia itself has gone through rebranding and introduced a brand new logo for the company.

The new logo has been created by Lippincontt, and today, Nokia announced that it’s partnering with this design firm for a full rebranding in the near future. Nokia states that “The goal was to unlock the brand’s next stage of growth while demanding recognition of Nokia as a leader in B2B technology innovation.”

Since over the last decade the company went through transformation, the rebranding was necessary because many consumers still conceive Nokia as a mobile phone manufacturer. Given that the company continued working on mobile network equipment technology, “Lippincott got to work by distilling the company’s ambition into a brand positioning that reflects the valuable role Nokia plays: pioneering the future where networks meet cloud to accelerate the impact of digital in every industry.”
