Now that Nokia Mobile does not give us a clear roadmap for its OS releases, the arrival of Android 13 for Nokia X20 and X10 was a big surprise. Well, we knew that the latest OS version for these devices has been in the making for some time, but it’s nice to see it available.
While some devices are already running Android 13, others are still waiting for the latest security patches. The Nokia G60 I received for review is still on the August security patch for some reason. The VPN trick does not work on this device, so I guess I’ll have to wait a bit longer. On the other hand, users of the T20 and G21 have reported that the November security patch is available for their devices. The update is available here in Croatia, Serbia and Australia, but it might be available worldwide.
Here is the basic info:
Nokia G21 – 15.56 MB
Nokia T20 – 29.98 MB
The installation went smoothly, but G21 is pretty darn laggy. I can say the same for the T20 after the Android 12 update. The speakers usually stop working as soon as I restart the device, and it lags considerably. However, the second screen software works fine and I can use the T20 as a second screen for my 14-inch laptop.
