Android 12 available for Nokia G21

Nokia G21

Nokia G21, the first affordable Nokia smartphone to bring a rectangle camera module, is now receiving the next major Android OS update. Users have been waiting for this update since G21 popped up on Geekbench running it in August 2022. Android 12 is now available in the Middle East and some selected markets, not Croatia. Our Nokia G21 is still riding on Android 11 with the September security patch. Nokia Mobile and some of the readers confirmed that Android 12 for G21 is rolling out for the following markets:

  • Austria
  • Bahrain
  • Egypt
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Iceland
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Jordan
  • Latvia
  • Lebanon
  • Lithuania
  • Malaysia
  • Norway
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Thailand
  • UAE

The update V2.420 is large so do use WiFi if your data plan isn’t large. Since we still haven’t gotten the update, I can’t tell you how well does Unisoc processor runs the current Android OS version, but soon as it arrives, I’ll update you. Or, it would be cool if someone that got the update shares the experiences now.

Now that the update is available for Unisoc T606, this could mean that Nokia T20 should also be getting the major OS update soon.
