Unreleased Nokia 6310 heading to India, picks BIS certification
|The upcoming Nokia 6310, which is tuning out to be a 2G feature phone, will also be available in India. It bagged the BIS certification on July 9. Rising Stars Mobile, the subsidiary of Foxconn Technology, which is in power to make all the Nokia feature phones in India, will also produce the Nokia 6310 (TA-1400) in its Kancheepuram facility in Tamil Nadu.
For the uninitiated, Nokia 6310 was launched about twenty years ago, and the new 6310 is possibly its remake as a part of the Nokia Originals series. Until the last year, Nokia Mobile used to announce an Originals series phone in its first launch event each year, but it decided to do away with the trend this time since it was a smartphones-only event.
Nevertheless, the Nokia 6310 should be coming soon as its specifications dropped on the retailer sites around two weeks ago. Like Nokia 8000 4G, it will house a 2.8-inch display. The phone will pack an 1150 mAh battery and a 0.3 MP rear camera. Operating on Series 30+ OS, it will have 8 MB of RAM and 16 MB of internal storage, which will be expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
It should support Bluetooth 5.0, an MP3 player, and FM radio. Nokia 6310 will be available in Black and Green colors. Considering the Nokia 6300 4G that came last year, the Nokia 6310 seems to be a downgrade. Let us see how it will fit in the portfolio, especially when the new versions of Nokia 110 and Nokia 105 support 4G.
Anyways, when do you expect Nokia Mobile’s next event to take place?
