Nokia X20 and X10 announced as new top of the range smartphones

Today’s event marked a new page for Nokia Mobile and the start of a brand new naming systems with three distinct smartphone lines. Devices from top series of products announced today are the Nokia X10 and the Nokia X20. The X series is not unknown to Nokia, with Symbian devices like Nokia X6 or X7, Android phones like Nokia X2 or XL, but also, more recently, we had the opportunity to see the Nokia X71 from Nokia Mobile, that was available only in parts of Asia.

In any case, today announced Nokia X10 and Nokia X20 represent the best offering from Nokia Mobile. The devices bring the most up-to-date processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 480 5G and also come with Android 11 out of the box. Both devices should receive 3 years of OS updates instead of 2 years of OS which was the norm for Nokia Mobile, and a 3-year warranty mentioned as well.

The Nokia X20 features a 6.67″ FullHD+ LCD display with a central punch-hole for the 32MP front camera. Inside ticks the new Snapdragon 480 with 5G support, in combination with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage expandable via a MicroSD card. It’s great to see WiFi5 and Bluetooth 5 support, as well as NFC and FM Radio.

On the back we can find the quad camera setup with ZEISS Optics consisting of a 64MP main shooter, 5MP ultrawide camera with fixed focus, 2MP depth camera, and 2MP macro camera. The phone comes with a big 4470mAh battery and 18W charging. A 3.5mm headphone jack is there and the device is charged via an USB Type C port.

Nokia X20 comes with OZO Audio and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. We also have the Google Assistant button and the device is Android Enterprise Recommended right out of the box. The materials we received also show that screen protection and a case will be included in the sales package of X20, though there is always possible that might vary region from region. The same materials also say that the inclusion of a charger will depend on the market.

The Nokia X10 is really similar to the X20. The X10 comes with the same screen, SoC, battery and connectivity features. The differences is that on the front, the Nokia X10 has a 8MP front camera, while on the back the primary shooter is 48MP. The X10 might come with a case, depending on the market, but it is not mentioned if a charger is included, so there probably is no charger (brick) with the X10, which is ridiculous. The X10 will have an additional memory variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Nokia X20 is expected to hit the market in May in Midnight Sun and Nordic Blue color options for an expected global average retail price of 349 euro (414 USD, 30799 INR). The Nokia X10 is coming in June in Forest and Snow color options for a global average price of 309 euro (366 USD, 27280 INR).
