Nokia 6.4 renders leaked, coming with a waterdrop notch?
|Steve Hemmerstoffer, or better, OnLeaks has posted 2021’s first leak of a Nokia smartphone, which he believes to be from the Nokia 6 series. The CAD renders might not prove to be fully correct, but present a rough design of the device.
At the front, the Nokia 6.4 will allegedly have the same design as its predecessor. It will have a 6.45-inch display with a waterdrop cutout at the top for the front camera. Although the Nokia branding seems to be missing on the front, Nokia Mobile might not go with a blank bezel at the bottom, so the Nokia branding is still possible. The Nokia 6.4 will measure 164.9 mm in length, 76.8 mm in width, and 9.2 mm (10.1 mm with the rear camera bump) in thickness, which means it will be a bit larger and thicker than the Nokia 6.2.
At the back, there will be the Nokia branding and a quad-camera array in the circular module without the ZEISS branding, while the dual flash is placed horizontally beneath the module. The circular module seems to have a coloured center that we did not see on the Nokia 5.4. As of now, OnLeaks is not aware of the exact camera configurations of the device. The Nokia 6.2 has a combination of 16 MP, 5 MP depth sensor, and 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, so the quad-camera array on the Nokia 6.4 is an upgrade, until the fourth one turns out to be a 2 MP macro camera.
The images show that the fingerprint sensor will be combined with the power button, which is similar to what we have seen on the Nokia 8.3 5G. Also, Nokia Mobile will not do away with the Google Assistant button on the left side. The device will have a 3.5 mm audio port and a microphone at the top, while the speaker grille, the USB Type C port, and another microphone will be there at the bottom.
Even though it might look like an upgrade of the Nokia 6.2, but the front design does not fit that well with the recent Nokia smartphones like Nokia 5.4 and Nokia 3.4 that come with a hole-punch display, and it will irk many people. So, this could be the CAD drawings of a Nokia 6.3 after all. Also, OnLeaks expects Nokia Mobile to launch this device within April.
Apart from this, we also have the Nokia 1.4 and probably the Nokia 7.4, since its CAD renders were revealed by OnLeaks in September 2020. The only thing that we have not seen in the last two years is a new Nokia 9 😉
