This year Nokia got a new CEO. Former CEO Rajeev Suri stepped down from leading the company and Pekka Lundmark took control this summer. It’s a challenging time in wireless for Nokia with combination of great news as 5G network rollouts, and less good news like Nokia’s SoC delay problem, that seems to be managed by now with relative success looking at the recent financial report. There is also a new strategy being implemented, and more then ever network giants are navigating political waters with the US-China technology war going on and trying to avoid being a collateral.
So, the new person in charge of Nokia has his hands full. Pekka Lundmark is also on the list of candidates for FierceWireless 2020 Most Powerful People in Wireless award. The list is a poll actually, so if you want to take part in the poll and vote for your candidate you can do it by clicking HERE. Just a note that poll’s ux isn’t great, so you have to click on the name of your candidate (you don’t get any feedback what you selected) and then click “vote”.
