Nokia Power Earbuds vs. Nokia Power Earbuds Lite
|Nokia Mobile, after being four years on the market, is still missing some important accessories like chargers and audio gadgets, which are essential for the smartphone brand. Lately, they invested in the accessories, and the result was Nokia Powerbuds and Powerbuds Lite. We reviewed the Powerbuds Lite, which turned out to be the best buy in the class of standard BT audio accessories. Earbuds Lite offers good audio quality with nicely defined deep, mid, and high tones. They also serve the user well as the handsfree system since they have microphones added inside and provide a good quality voice to the other end of the call. Well, many rightly ask what is the difference then between the Nokia Powerbuds and Nokia Powerbuds Lite then, and which model should they buy?
The difference between these two products is just in the charging case size and mass, which is defined by the size of the battery installed inside. The buds are the same, with the same 6mm graphene driver, 50 mAh battery that provides 5 hours of audio reproduction, and IPX7 waterproof grade.
The Power Earbuds have a 6000 mAh battery in the charging case, which will provide up to 150 hours of audio on a single charge, while the Lite will give you 35 hours of playback time on a single charge of its 600 mAh battery.
The size of the battery is responsible for the size of the charging case, and its weight. The case of the Nokia Power Earbuds is double in size of its Lite version, and also the mass, and that should help you decide whether you should spend 100€ or 60€ on the earbuds with the Nokia logo.
The Power Earbuds charging case is 91g in mass and is much larger than the case of Earbuds Lite (48g), which means that commuters and folks that are traveling short distances by plane should be happy with them. Larger Power Earbuds should be for those people that are always carrying a backpack with gadgets and other stuff in it, and that won’t mind the larger and somewhat heavier charging case.
The only difference I noticed is that the cover plastic of the Nokia Earbuds Lite charging case a bit thicker and sturdier than the cover of its bigger model, which makes it more pleasant to open and has a distinctive click noise when closed. The cover lid of Power Earbuds is made of thinner plastic, which is transparent, and you can see how much of the battery is left while the buds are charging. But, the buds are charging quickly, so you won’t be seeing the lights that long.
