Nokia’s newest brand licensee, StreamView, based in Austria, is responsible for selling Nokia branded Smart TVs, Set-Top-Boxes, and DAB+ radios in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. On November 14, StreamView began its journey with the sales of its first product, the Nokia Streaming Box 8000 within Europe, but the new Nokia Smart TVs were due to be launched before Christmas 2020.
Well, now you will not have to wait much as StreamView has announced seven new Nokia Smart TVs, which will come in 32-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 58-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch display size, with the sales starting December 1, 2020, most probably within Europe. StreamView’s Nokia branded Smart TVs will run on Android TV 9, but the TVs are also compatible with terrestrial antenna, satellite, or cable-based connection using the built-in triple tuner.
Starting with the display panel of the TVs, only the 32-inch model will ship with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) LED panel with a brightness up to 250 nits, while all the other models will have 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) LED panels with a maximum brightness of 320 nits. The viewing angle for each model will be 178 degrees. HDR10 support is available on all models, which will balance the overall color reproduction using a color palette of 1.07 billion shades. Except for the Full HD model, all the 4K UHD models will come with the support for Dolby Vision as well.
With two built-in speakers, the audio output will be 2 x 6 W for the 32-inch TV, 2 x 10 W for the 43, 50, 55, and 58-inch TVs, and 2 x 12 W for the 65 and 75-inch TVs. All the TVs will have support for Dolby Digital Plus, but the 32-inch model will miss out on DTS Sound support, unlike the other TVs.
Powered by the ARM CA55 Quad-Core processor and the Mali470 MP3 GPU, all the smart TVs will have 8 GB of internal storage (eMMC) to save all the applications. DDR3 RAM for the 32-inch model will be 1 GB, while it will be 1.5 GB for the other models.
Each model will be available only in black colour. Except for the bottom bezel, all the TVs have slim and uniform bezels on the other sides. The bottom bezel on the 32-inch model is thicker than that of other models. With 32, 43, 50, and 55-inch models, you will get a tabletop stand similar to what you get with your PC monitors. With 58, 65, and 75-inch models, you will get a two-sided stand/feet.
OS & Interface
The operating system for the new Nokia Smart TVs is Android TV 9 with Google Play as the primary source for the variety of content that you would like to watch. There is a dedicated media library and support for Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and many more streaming services.
All the TVs will come with the same Bluetooth remote control (RC) that comes with backlit keys and the voice searching functionality of Google Assistant. With the dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and YouTube, it will be a lot easier and faster to access them. The remote control has a similar design to the remote control that you get with the Nokia Streaming Box 8000, with just a few changes here and there.
Dual band Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz; 802.11a/n/ac, 5 GHz)
Bluetooth 4.2 for game controllers, external speakers, and other Bluetooth enabled devices.
Built-in Chromecast to stream content from your small screen device to your TV.
The company has not shied away from giving a variety of ports, which is always an added advantage.
The Full HD model will have three HDMI ports, while the 4K UHD models will have four HDMI ports. All the ports will support CEC, but only one of them in each TV will support AEC.
Two USB 2.0 ports
Digital audio (coaxial) port for sound systems or soundbars.
Audio/Video IN (3.5 mm) port for an analogue device.
Port for 3.5 mm audio jack.

CI slot for subscription-based TV services with CI+ interface for conditional access modules.
Supports SatCR for connecting up to 8 receivers to a SatCR LNB

It is worth noting that the company will not be providing wall mounts for any of the TV models, which will put the buyers into a not so comfortable situation as many would want to hang their TVs on the wall.
