Nokia Smart Node delivers 4G and 5G indoor coverage

Nokia announced pretty quietly a Nokia Smart Node. The Smart Node is a smart solution for bringing 4G and 5G SA/NSA networks indoors, which can be wall or ceiling mounted or placed on a desk. The good thing about the Node is definitely in its modularity, so the customers can choose whether they want a 4G or a 5G standalone and non-standalone network inside their office space.

To have a fast 5G network in your home, you can use Nokia’s 5G Fast Mile Gateway, but that wouldn’t suit big offices, and for that reason, Nokia launched femtocells or Nokia Smart Node that can cover up to 64 users.

Check out Nokia’s video that demonstrates how the Nokia Smart Node looks and functions.

So far, it seems that Smart Node won’t be commercially available, but maybe your local carrier will have these in the offer for small and medium businesses.
