Nokia 5.3 is coming to Canada reveals certification

The people of Canada may soon get to try their hands on the new Nokia 5.3, as one of its variants, TA-1229, passed the certification process in Canada on April 14. Nokia 5.3 was announced this year on March 19 along with the Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 1.3 and Nokia 5310.

The specifications of this device are already mentioned in the datasheet, but the Canadian certificate reveals the SAR value of 0.97 W/kg against the body and 1.03 W/kg against the head which is well below the ICNIRP SAR limit of 2.0 W/kg averaged over 10 grams of tissue, for mobile devices. The certificate further details the different types of radio equipment used in the phone and their emission values.

Anyway, Nokia 5.3 ticks almost all the boxes to be the perfect daily driver for an average customer that likes clean Android, and its Nordic design feels like a breath of fresh air. The device is probably ready for the Canadian market and its arrival there could be by the end of the first half of the year.
