New Nokia phones to appear in the latest James Bond movie
|
If you are a frequent Reddit browser, you might stumble upon a photo of Daniel Craig as a 007 agent holding an unannounced Nokia device. The phone looks like a Nokia 7.2, but its polished aluminum frame implies that it could be a new Nokia 8.3. Well, it could very well be a Nokia 5.2, but Q would probably serve a series 8 Nokia device to James Bond. The device has a circular camera module at the back, like Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 have, and at the bottom, we can see a speaker grille and a USB Type C port. And that’s about all we could see in the photo.
Since Sony lost the rights to Bond franchise back in 2015, for the past few years the franchise has been picked up by Universal Studios. This allows other manufacturers to jump in and advertize their phones. Judging by the announcement Nokia Mobile shared earlier, the presence of Nokia phones in the last James Bond movie is most likely confirmed. According to Daily Mail, there will be a Nokia advert with Bond’s new replacement, Lashana Lynch, which was filmed in London.
This kind of advertisement is nothing new for Nokia whose devices used to show up in movies like Man of Steel (Lumia 925), Batman The Dark Night (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic), various TV series, etc. Nokia Mobile continued the work of late Nokia, and fans might appreciate it. I think that the black version of Nokia with 007 carvings on the back could sell well as a limited series. It is definitely good to have some additional accessories like covers being sold since that is a good way to raise brand awareness.
Thanks Yogi for the tip 😉
