Indian carriers Jio and Airtel enabled WiFi calling for many Nokia smartphones
When your carrier signal isn’t that strong, the best option to continue talking over your smartphone is VoWiFi. This option isn’t so popular in the EU, but in India Airtel and Jio are offering it to its users. The great news is that VoWiFi is now available for many Nokia models on both Jio and Airtel networks. Jio is offering this great option for Nokia Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1. Airtel enabled VoWiFi for 7 Nokia models which are Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1. This list will be extended by Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 2.2, and some latest Nokia models like Nokia 2.3.
To start using this free option, you will need to enable it in the Network&Internet setting where you will see the WiFi Call option enabled. After you disconnect from the WiFi network, the phone will automatically continue using VoLTE.
