Windows 10 support is over for Nokia and Microsoft Lumia phones

Symbian is something very dear for all the Nokia fans, but during the Windows Phone era, Nokia smartphones were the best. Often the software provided by Microsoft wasn’t able to follow Nokia’s hardware progress. Anyway, the progress Nokia did, was reached just recently and many today’s flagships surpassed the ingenuity Nokia once had. Windows phone tried to be the third OS, somewhere just between the Android and iOs and is partially succeeded in that, but mostly thanks to Nokia. Anyway, the Windows Phone era is far over, but the official end of support is set on December 10, 2019.

After this date, Windows 10 Mobile users are no longer eligible to receive new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free assisted support options or online technical content updates from Microsoft. Some publically available apps might still be working, but Microsoft won’t be pushing any new updates to those apps. So, that’s it, guys and gals. If you are still a user of Nokia Lumia or Microsoft Lumia phones, now it is time to #switch. It is time to either go for iPhone or try Nokia on Android. Or maybe even go for another brand that you find suitable for you.

Windows Phone

Thanks
