Nokia 7.2 launched in the UAE. Affordable 5G Nokia device is coming there next year
Nokia Mobile launched its latest midrange fighter, Nokia 7.2, in the UAE. The device that brings a sharp 6.3-inch display, 48 MP camera, and the older chipset in a beautifully designed body, is going to retail in the UAE starting from AED 999, or €243, which is most probably a price for the 4/64GB version. The Nokia 7.2 will be available there in Cyan Green, Charcoal, and Ice.
The future plans of Nokia Mobile were revealed at the Nokia 7.2 announcement event by Sanmeet Singh Kochhar who is the vice president of HMD at MENA. Kochhar mentioned that Nokia Mobile is planning on bringing the affordable 5G phone in UAE sometimes in 2020. The price of the device is still a matter of discussion since many factors are involved, but it will be an affordable 5G phone. The fact that Nokia Mobile is working closely with Qualcomm, Google, and Nokia on the development of the first 5G Nokia device, also sounds promising.
I would like to see a non-5G version first, but that could spoil the surprise, so sometimes in Q2 of 2020 is the best time to launch it.
