Head of marketing at HMD Global India leaves the company
|As afaqs reports, the head of marketing at HMD Global India has left the company. HMD Global is the company responsible for bringing back Nokia phones to the market, and they are mostly called Nokia Mobile.
In the last few weeks, a few high profile people like Pia Kantola, HMD’s former COO and vice president, and Pekka Rantala, HMD’s Chief Marketing Officer and Vice president left the company for positions of CEOs of other Finnish start-ups.
In India, HMD Global lost their head of marketing Jyotsna Makkar and her responsibilities will be taken over by HMD’s Head of India Ajey Mehta. In global levels, Head of marketing in India isn’t a big departure as Chief Marketing Officer leaving the company, but considering India is, after Europe, HMD’s biggest market, it is important enough to make the news. The second quarter of 2019 is over and we can soon expect info about shipments which will give a clearer picture about HMD’s situation.
