February 2019 update rollout started for Nokia 2 and Nokia 5.1 Plus, including a new Pie build
HMD Global kicked off the February 2019 update cycle by releasing updates first for the Nokia 2 and Nokia 5.1 Plus. Thus far, I mostly saw reports from India about the update availability, but it usually doesn’t take long until the update availability spreads globally.
The update for Nokia 2 (2017) includes just the security patch for February 2019 (68MB in size), while the Nokia 5.1 Plus update comes with a new Android Pie build. The software build for 5.1 Plus is 282MB in size and includes the standard Android 9 Pie changelog. My guess is that HMD also delivered some bug fixes and optimizations as a response to problems usually found after a big update rolls out.
