MWC2019: HMD will be holding an event on February 24

HMD was pretty quiet about the MWC2019 plans, but the curtains are coming down. Juho Sarvikas tweeted that HMD will be organizing an event on Sunday, 24th of February, or a day before the official start of MWC2019. The event will be probably streamed live, but not the details about it were not revealed.

MWC is a special place for HMD since that was the event where the whole world had the opportunity to see a big comeback of new Nokia smartphones (not counting the launch of Nokia 6 for China). We already know that HMD booked a 500 m2 of space at MWC, which is close to Nokia’s booth. We also know that a new Nokia device with the hole-punch display will be coming, and probably it won’t be alone. Nokia 9 Pureview could be accompanying it and also a new feature phone. MWC will be interesting since HMD will probably retire the notches and come with cleaner lines on devices.

In the coming weeks, we’ll probably get more info about the event and possibly a bit more details on new devices (c’mon leaksters, wake up). Oh man, the tension is rising.
