Android P developer preview available for Nokia 7 plus
|Nokia Mobile today announced that Nokia 7 plus is joining the Android P developer preview program. Developer preview program is primarily meant for Android developers and more experienced users to test the early builds of Android P and check app compatibility. At the moment, Android P in beta version can be downloaded on Nokia 7 plus by flashing the software manually via a PC, meaning no Over-the-air-Update.
Attention to all developers! Couldn’t be prouder! I’m happy to announce our Android “P” Beta developer program. Available for #Nokia7Plus. Find out more here https://t.co/NnRjAgvYkF @Nokiamobile #AndroidP #io18 pic.twitter.com/d1vT8tha9q

The Developer Preview program is separate from Nokia Beta Labs that are available to general public. To install Android P, visit Nokia Mobile’s official site here. If you decided to install P, HMD invites you to send them their feedback via the feedback app, and we would like to hear how it all looks on the 7 plus in the comments down below. 🙂
Keep in mind, this is an early version of the OS and the install process isn’t as simple as doing an OTA update after registration (like on Beta Labs). If you use the 7 plus as your primary device and you’re more of a “basic” user, I would advise waiting for Android P Beta Labs or official release later this year.
