Nokia posts Q1 2018 financial results
|Nokia Corporation this morning (CET time) published company’s financial report for the 1st quarter of 2018. Nokia had a though Q1 with profits falling below the analyst expectations, but Nokia is confident that the company will outperform the market in full year 2018.
In Q1 2018, Nokia posted €4.929 billion in non-IFRS revenue, a decline of 9% compared to same period last year. Profit also took a dive from €203 million in Q1 last year, to €83 million last quarter. By IFRS standard of reporting which includes costs like the integration of Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia posted €4.924 billion in revenue and a loss of €354 million, which is a 19% improvement from the loss of €435 million in Q1 2017.
Nokia Technologies saw an almost 50% increase in revenue and 136% increase in profits in Q1 2018. Of the €365 million of net sales in the first quarter 2018, €349 million related to patent, brand and technology licensing and €16 million related to digital health.
