April security update available for Nokia 1, with stability improvements

HMD Global released the April security patch for their most affordable smartphone, the Nokia 1. Nokia 1 was announced a month and half ago at MWC2018, and the device made its way to many markets, including India, last month, for a price that goes from 65 to 100 euros, depending on the market. Apart from being the most affordable Nokia smartphone, the 1 also runs Android 8.1 GO, a version of Android optimized for devices with low end hardware.

For now, the update is just confirmed in India and is about 143MB in size. Together with Google’s security patch for April, the update contains improvements for system stability. To get the update, head to Settings->System->System update. As always, the rollout goes in phases so you might have to wait a few days before it’s available for your device.

If you do receive the April security update on the 1, tell us down below in which market and how did the installation went. 🙂
