Nokia present on NAB Show 2018 with OZO Audio
NAB Show 2018, or National Broadcasting Show, is one of the largest events for entertainment, media and technology in the world. Nokia is present there and it will be showing OZO Audio, its solution for capturing high quality and spatial audio. Some of the latest Nokia smartphones are featuring OZO Audio sound recording which makes those devices stand out in the crowd. Nokia has been pioneering in smartphone audio recording when it announced HAAC microphones on Lumia phones, and later on, HD audio capturing that was resurrected with OZO camera.

Nokia has its booth (SU5515) in the South Hall of the NAB Show facility, so if you are there, pay them a visit and experience what OZO Audio can offer.
Smartphones are currently the only use case of OZO Audio, but Nokia is evidently planning on expanding it on other gadgets like (DSLR) cameras and other shooters for everyday and professional use. While OZO camera is now a reminder of Nokia’s inventiveness, OZO name will continue to exist as a brand for software solution created specifically for Nokia’s 360° camera. OZO Audio is just the first product that Nokia licensed, and I hope that OZO Imaging will follow since the algorithms used to improve OZO’s video proved to be really good. Probably Juha Alakarhu passed his knowledge to someone in Nokia Technologies before he left to Axon.
