Nokia back as the No.1 feature phone vendor in Russia

With its brilliant strategy of resurrecting the Nokia 3310, and refreshing the affordable and simple phone like Nokia 105 and 130, Nokia took the 1st place in Russia’s feature phone market, as measured in September. This is the first time this year Nokia phones were No.1 in sales, capturing 16.1% of the market, with British Fly and the 2nd place with 15.5%.

The most popular Nokia phone in the first nine months of 2017 in Russia was Nokia 105, but the biggest interest for the brand caused the Nokia 3310. Analysts suggest that sales of Nokia feature phones increased over 50%, compared to first nine months of 2016. That’s an excellent achievement, especially considering that the overall feature phone market in Russia decreased more than 15% compared to the same period a year ago.
