HMD really wants to improve #Nokia devices based on our feedback, reveals the Community forum

HMD Global recently redesigned the Nokia Community Forum, adding new features and improving the UI. HMD also added a new site (or subforum) under Discussions/Products/Product feature ideas where users can suggest new ideas for Nokia phones. A new thing in that forum is that HMD added categories like: Planned, In Progress, Implemented and Not Taken.

These category suggest that HMD plans to go through the posts (suggestions) made by members of the forum, and try to implement some good and technically possible ideas. The categories are at the moment empty and HMD moderators don’t give much feedback, but in the future HMD surely plans to listen even more to its customers and put new features into Nokia devices based on our feedback.

The potential problem of this approach (seeing it from the Windows Insiders program), could be that there are a number of ideas that are technically or financially not achievable for HMD Global. HMD Global is a startup with limited finances, and knowing how hard it is to make money on the phone market, HMD is careful in spending every cent of its resources. Leaving your wish or suggestion is a great thing, but a thing that needs to be taken into account is can it be done and can HMD Global do it in its current state. For example, creating a OZO Audio supported audio recorder app, custom gallery, or music player app; landscape mode, dark theme and other similar features could be implemented in new Nokia devices, will for some other HMD doesn’t have the funds to do it.

So if you want to make a suggestion, go to Community Forums and describe your idea in details to HMD. Hopefully, they will award best ideas and active members of the forum regularly, creating an even bigger bond with the community. What do you think? Tell us down below. 🙂
