Together with partners, #Nokia created Europe Aviation Network (EAN)

Nokia in aviation is for sure something that we do not usually hear, or we cannot connect Nokia with it, but it is interesting and pretty much will define the quality of our future flight time. European aviation companies created European Aviation Network (EAN), a broadband solution for airline passengers that integrates satellites and LTE-based terrestrial networks. To simplify, it is a new way to use internet while in flight. Nokia was a partner on this big project, together with Deutsche Telekom, Thales and InmarSat, and achieved the first EAN live over-the-air connection thx to its Stuttgart laboratory. EAN is planned for introduction in mid-2017 and probably big airline companies will use this solution to provide internet to their passengers.
