Connecting people has been the main slogan under which Nokia has been operating, whether in the networks department of phones’ unit. For most of folks out there, the first phone call, text message, picture or video was sent using a Nokia device, and with the mobile revolution, no place on Earth has become unreachable. In their latest Christmas video, Nokia Mobile shows the next step in connecting people, and that’s turning off our devices and spending time with the ones we care the most for this holiday season. The video plays heavy on emotions, and shows a young boy surprising his lonely grandmother with a visit this Christmas. Take a look at the video down below.
Description of the video says:
Technology unites us all in amazing ways, but nothing will ever replace being together.
Spend quality time with family and friends this holiday season. Be the gift.
A truly perfect holiday video that goes beyond showing phones and hits the core of Nokia’s (re-)connecting people mission, especially during emotional/celebrational times like Christmas when usually all the family comes together. The background music is fittingly sad, with a happy ending that includes the iconic Nokia Tune. The scene where the dog is first to “sense” the kid is so realistic (as a dog owner I can tell), that it is miraculous how everything is incorporated so well with a goal of sending a clear message. Let’s put our phones down and enjoy the life with the people we have around us, at least for a day. 🙂
