Rumors: Nokia 9 coming by the end of the year with Android 8 Oreo *Update*

With every day, more and more rumors about Nokia 9 are popping up on the Internet. Lately we heard that Nokia 9 won’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, but will support wireless charging. Now, another report, this time from sources of the Russian website akket.com reports that Nokia 9 should be announced and available in some markets by the end of this year. The sources indicate that Nokia 9 will be announced in mid-December, with imminent release.

Their source also mentions that Nokia 9 will come pre-loaded with Android 8 Oreo, which is expected, now that Oreo has been available for quite some time.

In terms of the announcement date, the Russian source says mid-December, but we still believe we could see the Nokia 9 tomorrow at Slush2017. Let’s wait and see.

*Update* unfortunately, we won’t be seeing the Nokia 9 tomorrow at Slush. That 15 minute event has been reserved for quite interesting sleep monitoring and HR capable ring called Oura.

Wow! It seems Nokia will have a competitor in every segment for the Christmas season. I wasn’t expecting them to do so much in less than a year. Very aggressive! Well done Nokia.

Yes. I started celebrating too soon…ha ha ha. Thanks for the update.

But it’s strange that we have so many leaks. Started to feel like the launch would be VERY soon.

Would be amazing if the added back the super-sensitive-touch from the Lumia phones. I miss that feature so much.

OMG this device has been talked about since May. MWC is coming and regarding the competitors the N9 therefore is as well too late and too old already.
