New update for Nokia 5 fixes the background apps bug

Some Nokia 5 users, that didn’t receive the November security patch in the first wave earlier this month, started receiving Google’s November update alongside with HMD’s fixes for Nokia 5. The last update caused a bug that prohibited the system to correctly keep apps in the background. If you switch to an open app the phone wouldn’t load the app from where you left off, but instead refresh it. Some apps like Chrome or Twitter memorize where you last left off, but others don’t.

With the latest update, 122MB in size, this bug is fixed. Hopefully, the bugfix will soon arrive to Nokia 5 units in other markets as well. This update first started rolling out today in India.

Thanks Viccky for the tip. 🙂
