Realme 17 Pro Leak Points to a 10,000mAh Battery and Simpler Camera Setup

Realme’s next numbered-series Pro phone could make battery capacity its defining feature. According to a report attributed to XpertPick’s industry sources, the Realme 17 Pro is in development with a 10,000mAh battery, a 120Hz AMOLED display and MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 processor.
The reported specifications suggest a change in priorities rather than a comprehensive hardware upgrade. While the battery would grow substantially compared with the Realme 16 Pro, the main camera would move from a listed 200MP sensor to a 50MP unit.
Realme has not confirmed the phone, its specifications or a launch date. For now, the details remain preliminary.
A 10,000mAh Battery Could Be the Headline Upgrade
The most striking claim is the battery capacity. At 10,000mAh, the Realme 17 Pro would offer 3,000mAh more nominal capacity than the 7,000mAh battery listed for its predecessor—an increase of approximately 43 percent.
That would put endurance at the centre of the phone’s appeal. However, a capacity increase does not guarantee an equivalent improvement in runtime. Display settings, software, network conditions and workload will all influence actual battery life.
The report positions the device as only the second Realme phone after the P4 Power to enter this capacity class. Charging power remains unknown, as do any implications for the handset’s weight and thickness.
Familiar Mid-Range Processing and Display Hardware
The Realme 17 Pro is tipped to feature a “1.5K” AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The leak does not specify its size, exact resolution, brightness or protective glass.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 is reportedly responsible for processing. That places the phone close to the previous generation’s Dimensity 7300 Max in platform positioning, rather than indicating a major move up the performance ladder.
The supplied report describes the two chips as belonging to the same underlying silicon family. Nevertheless, without final specifications or benchmarks, it is too early to determine whether tuning or other hardware changes would produce a noticeable performance difference.
RAM and storage configurations have not been disclosed.

Lower Main-Camera Resolution, but Quality Remains an Open Question
The rear camera system is expected to combine a 50MP main camera with an 8MP ultrawide. No dedicated telephoto camera is mentioned.
That compares with the Realme 16 Pro’s listed 200MP main and 8MP ultrawide arrangement. The proposed change would therefore reduce the headline resolution of the primary camera while retaining a similar dual-camera structure.
It would be premature, however, to describe that alone as proof of worse photography. The leak does not identify the main sensor, lens specifications, stabilisation or image-processing changes. Those details matter more than a simple comparison of megapixel counts.
The front camera is another unresolved element. The report lists 4K recording at 30fps but does not establish whether the sensor will have a resolution of 32MP or 50MP.
The emerging picture is of a phone with fewer headline camera ambitions than its larger battery might suggest—not necessarily one with demonstrably poorer image quality.
ColorOS 17 Could Replace Realme UI
The Realme 17 Pro is expected to ship with Android 17 and ColorOS 17 rather than Realme UI, following the brand’s reported software transition.
That direction is consistent with Realme’s current update programme. Its November schedule includes ColorOS 17 releases for GT, Number, P-series and Narzo devices, beginning with the GT 7 and GT 7 Dream Edition on November 5.
An in-display fingerprint reader and IP68/IP69 protection are also included in the leaked specification list. Their implementation remains unconfirmed, and no detailed durability claims have been provided.
The Pro+ Could Take a Different Camera Direction
Earlier reporting points to a more elaborate imaging setup for a possible Realme 17 Pro+.
A leak attributed to Digital Chat Station described a numbered-series device believed to be the Pro+ with a 6.78-inch flat OLED display and a triple-camera system led by a 200MP main camera. The same report listed an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope telephoto.
That would create a meaningful distinction between the two models: the Pro could emphasise battery capacity, while the Pro+ would offer a wider range of camera hardware.
Neither device’s final specifications are confirmed, however. The earlier report itself inferred the Pro+ identity from the leaked camera configuration, so the comparison remains provisional.
Price and Launch Timing Are Still Missing
The Realme 17 Pro report follows a separate leaked image of the Realme 17T 5G, which showed a redesigned rear camera layout but provided no processor, display or battery specifications. That appearance does not establish when the wider numbered lineup will launch.
For the Pro, the most important unanswered questions are charging power, memory options, dimensions and price.
If the leaked configuration proves accurate, Realme’s proposition would be straightforward: substantially more battery capacity without a corresponding leap in processor tier or camera resolution. Whether that is a worthwhile trade will depend on the final hardware—and how aggressively the company prices it.
