Honor Magic V7 leak hints at a bigger screen and a serious zoom camera

Honor’s next book-style foldable could offer more room when opened without substantially changing the size of its outer screen. According to a leak attributed to Digital Chat Station, a device believed to be the Magic V7 has an approximately 8.15-inch inner display, a 6.5-inch cover display and a prototype camera system built around a large 50MP main sensor. Honor has not confirmed the phone or its specifications.
A larger screen inside
The reported 8.15-inch inner display would be larger than the Magic V6’s 7.95-inch panel, while the outer screen would remain close to the V6’s 6.52-inch size. The inner panel is said to use ultra-thin glass, or UTG.
That combination suggests Honor is exploring a roomier unfolded display without making the closed phone markedly wider. The leak does not provide the device’s dimensions, however, so its actual size and feel remain unknown.
Camera changes take shape
The engineering prototype reportedly uses a 50MP SmartSens SC595 main sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches. The leak also mentions a variable aperture and RYYB sensor technology, plus a periscope telephoto camera of approximately 50MP.
Those details make the camera system one of the more intriguing parts of the report, but they describe a prototype rather than confirmed retail hardware. Sensor choice, lens specifications and image quality could all change before launch.
Battery and launch remain uncertain
Digital Chat Station also points to a battery exceeding 6,000mAh and a next-generation flagship processor. Because the Magic V6 uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a future Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-series processor is a possibility—not a confirmed specification for the V7.
Honor introduced the Magic V6 in March 2026, making a similar period in 2027 a plausible window for its successor. For now, there is no official launch date. Honor is also rumored to be developing a separate wide-format foldable, so not every foldable detail circulating ahead of next year should automatically be attributed to the Magic V7.
