After debut in China this past June, Vivo is finally preparing to introduce its premium foldable, the X Fold 6, to international markets. With the company’s X500 series having dominated the September release calendar, fresh leaks indicate that October will be dedicated to Vivo’s latest foldable flagship.

According to prominent industry tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo X Fold 6 will make its global debut on October 1, swiftly followed by a dedicated launch in India on October 6.

This aggressive release schedule marks a strategic shift from the rollout of last year’s X Fold 5, bringing the device to global consumers and the Indian market almost simultaneously. The timing places the X Fold 6 in direct competition with Samsung’s recently released Galaxy Z Fold8, setting the stage for a heated battle in the premium foldable sector this holiday season.

Arriving four months after its Chinese launch—where it debuted with a starting price of CNY 7,999 (approximately $1,190)—the international variant will feature a few notable adjustments. Most prominently, the global X Fold 6 will run on OriginOS 7, a step forward from the OriginOS 6 Fold software that shipped with the Chinese models.

Consumers outside of China will reportedly be able to choose between two memory configurations: 12GB of RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. Aesthetically, the international models will be available in two sophisticated colorways: Prism Black and Nebula Teal.
