While we’re anticipateing the debut of the Xiaomi 18 series in China later this month, international consumers might not have to wait as long as usual to get their hands on the company’s next-generation flagship. Recent regulatory filings suggest an accelerated global rollout, revealing key hardware details in the process.

The global variant of the standard Xiaomi 18—identified by the model number 2611FPNFAG—recently surfaced on Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) certification platform. This follows a similar appearance on Europe’s EEC database in July. Although the filings do not explicitly use the “Xiaomi 18” moniker, the timing, specifications, and model sequencing strongly point to the upcoming baseline flagship.

Confirmed Storage, Durability, and 100W Charging

According to the NCC documentation, the standard Xiaomi 18 will hit international markets in two primary storage configurations: 256GB and 512GB. Out of the box, these variants will offer approximately 198GB and 469GB of usable space, respectively. The listings also verify that the device will carry an IP68 rating, guaranteeing top-tier dust and water resistance.

In terms of power delivery, the certification highlights an accompanying charger with the model number MDY-19-EX. Cross-referencing this adapter with TÜV Rheinland data confirms that the global Xiaomi 18 will support blistering 100W wired fast charging, ensuring it remains highly competitive in the premium smartphone segment.

An Accelerated Global Release Timeline?

The timing of this NCC filing is particularly telling. Last year, the previous generation Xiaomi 17 appeared in the same Taiwanese database in late October 2025 before making its official global debut in February 2026. With the Xiaomi 18 clearing this regulatory hurdle more than a month earlier than its predecessor, industry watchers speculate that Xiaomi is fast-tracking its international release schedule.

Current market intelligence suggests a staggered, highly strategic launch. Xiaomi is expected to unveil only the premium Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China this month. The standard Xiaomi 18, meanwhile, is rumored to be held back until December, where it is expected to be introduced alongside the top-tier Xiaomi 18 Ultra.

This delayed domestic rollout for the standard model opens the door for a massive, unified global launch event in December, potentially bringing both the baseline Xiaomi 18 and the Ultra variant to international and Chinese markets simultaneously.
