Xiaomi has officially pulled the curtain back on its latest powerhouse tablet, the Pad 9 Pro Max, during its highly anticipated autumn flagship event. Positioning itself as a genuine laptop replacement, the premium device debuts the brand’s proprietary Xring O3 silicon and offers a sprawling 13.3-inch display, all starting at a highly competitive 4,799 yuan (approximately $715).

Alongside the new tablet, Xiaomi also officially launched its wide-format foldable, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, with pre-orders for both devices now live in China.

Early Geekbench benchmark leaks corroborate this claim, with the tablet easily clearing the 14,000-point threshold in multi-core testing. Pushing the boundaries further, the top-tier 1TB model introduces ultra-fast LPDDR6 memory from CXMT, capable of clocking speeds up to 10,667Mbps.

Display Options: Standard Glossy or Nano-Textured

Xiaomi is offering the 13.3-inch display in two distinct finishes to cater to different workflows.

The standard version features a glossy LCD panel boasting a crisp 3408 x 2272 resolution. With a productivity-focused 3:2 aspect ratio, a fluid 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, the screen is calibrated for pro-level color accuracy (ΔE of ~0.47).

For digital artists or users working in bright environments, Xiaomi offers a premium “Soft Light Screen” variant. This model utilizes a specialized nano-textured coating designed to drastically reduce glare and reflections without compromising sharpness.

Despite its massive footprint, the Pad 9 Pro Max is remarkably sleek. The metal unibody chassis weighs just 645 grams and is incredibly thin at 5.67mm. The rear panel sports a striking racetrack-style camera module housing a 50MP primary sensor, complemented by XRING branding. A 32MP front-facing camera handles high-resolution video conferencing.
