Vivo has officially introduced a new iteration of the V80 Lite 5G in Malaysia, signaling a distinct shift in strategy for its popular V series. Unlike the V80 Lite recently launched in Pakistan and Bangladesh—which was largely a rebranded Vivo S2—this Malaysian variant is an entirely different beast. Built around extreme battery longevity, robust durability, and everyday performance, the new model aims to set a new benchmark for mid-range endurance.
A Battery That Breaks Records
The undisputed centerpiece of the Malaysian V80 Lite 5G is its colossal 10,000mAh BlueVolt battery. Utilizing fourth-generation silicon-anode technology, Vivo has managed to pack an unprecedented amount of power into a relatively slim 8.59mm, 224-gram chassis.
The device recently secured a Guinness World Record for battery endurance by surviving 32 hours and 37 minutes of continuous livestreaming. For everyday users, Vivo translates this capacity into up to 68 hours of voice calls, 30 hours of TikTok scrolling, or 14 hours of continuous Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gaming.
The battery supports 44W fast charging, reverse charging, and is engineered to maintain stable power delivery even in temperatures reaching 45°C. According to Vivo, the cell is built for the long haul, retaining at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles—roughly equivalent to seven years of simulated daily use.
Display and Durability
The phone sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. With a pixel density of 449ppi and a peak High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 2,000 nits, the panel is designed for crisp, vibrant outdoor viewing. It also supports a P3 wide color gamut, HDR10+, and 1.07 billion colors.
Despite its elegant screen, the V80 Lite 5G is heavily fortified against the elements. It carries dual IP68 and IP69 ratings for superior dust and water resistance, and it has successfully passed five MIL-STD environmental stress tests.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. To keep the silicon running efficiently during heavy workloads, Vivo has integrated a large 3,800mm² vapor chamber cooling unit.
On the software front, the device runs on OriginOS 6, based on the newly minted Android 16. The operating system brings a suite of productivity and AI-driven tools, including Origin Island, Drag & Go, Office Kit, integrated Google Gemini, and AI Captions.

Availability and Pricing
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is currently listed on Vivo’s official Malaysian website in three configurations: 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB, and 8GB+256GB. Buyers will have a choice of three colorways: Emerald Green, Afterglow Pink, and Dawn Black.
While official pricing details will be announced separately in the coming days, industry speculation suggests that this specific, battery-heavy model may eventually launch in other international markets under a different moniker, potentially as the Vivo S2 FE.
