OnePlus 15T Official: Compact Flagship Launches With 7,500mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

OnePlus 15T

After an extended teaser campaign, OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus 15T in China, positioning it as the direct successor to last year’s OnePlus 13T. The new model brings meaningful upgrades across performance, battery technology, durability, and display responsiveness, reinforcing its status as a compact flagship with few obvious compromises.

At the heart of the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a larger 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. OnePlus has also boosted charging speeds, with the phone now supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, underlining battery life as one of the handset’s headline features.

The OnePlus 15T also arrives with stronger durability credentials. It is rated IP68/IP69K, meaning it is designed to withstand both water immersion and high-pressure hot or cold water jets — a notable step up in protection for a device in this category.

On the front, OnePlus retains the same 6.32-inch AMOLED display size and 1,216 x 2,640 resolution seen on its predecessor, but introduces a faster 165Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. The panel is rated for up to 3,600 nits peak local brightness and integrates both a 16MP front-facing camera and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Photography remains a major part of the package. The OnePlus 15T features a dual 50MP rear camera setup, consisting of a 24mm-equivalent main camera built around a 1/1.56-inch Sony sensor with optical image stabilization, alongside a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, 7x lossless zoom, and OIS. Video capabilities are equally ambitious, with support for 8K recording at 60fps and 4K at 120fps, as well as Dolby Vision certification.

On the software side, the device runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, with Oppo AI features integrated into the experience. In China, the OnePlus 15T is available in white, brown, and green, with pricing starting at CNY 4,299 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model and reaching CNY 5,699 for the 16GB RAM + 1TB version. Open sales are scheduled to begin in China on March 25 at 10AM local time.

OnePlus has not yet announced international availability. However, there is already speculation that the device could launch in other markets under a different name, following the brand’s earlier regional naming strategy.
