Samsung One UI 8: Full List of Eligible Devices and Release Timeline
Samsung is moving full steam ahead with the rollout of its Samsung One UI 8 Beta Program, expanding testing to a wider range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. According to Sammobile, the company is gearing up to push the beta to more models across the Galaxy A, S, and Z series, following the program’s initial announcement back in May.
Next week, owners of the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in four countries will be the first to test-drive the new software. In September, the beta will be extended to additional Galaxy A, S, and Z devices. Samsung is aiming for a swift public release: the stable version of Samsung One UI 8 is slated to hit compatible devices before the end of September 2025, starting with the Galaxy S25 lineup.

This accelerated timeline is possible thanks to Samsung’s adoption of Google’s trunk-based development model, designed to deliver updates more efficiently than ever.

Expect a more intuitive Quick Share interface, beefed-up tools for managing alarms, calendars, and reminders, and enhanced multitasking features like a smarter split-screen mode and upgraded DeX (now leveraging Android 16’s Desktop Mode). The camera app gains a customizable gesture, the Phone app upgrades Profile Cards, Contacts can show related call recordings, and Secure Folder gets tighter security.
