Following the premature listing of the HMD Pulse 2 Pro by a Swiss retailer early last month, new details have surfaced regarding another upcoming handset in the lineup: the HMD Pulse 2T Pro. The latest leak from a reputable industry source indicates that the “T” variant brings significant hardware upgrades across display technology, processing power, battery capacity, and software over its sibling.

HMD Pulse 2T Pro: OLED Upgrade and Rear Dot Matrix Display

The most visible evolution in the HMD Pulse 2T Pro comes at the front and back of the device. Moving away from the LCD panel expected on the Pulse 2 Pro, the 2T Pro adopts a larger 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED display supporting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an integrated under-display fingerprint sensor.

Flipping the device over reveals a secondary dot matrix display integrated into the rear panel, alongside an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating and dual stereo speakers. HMD reportedly plans to release the device in three finishes: Temper Blue, Titanium, and Orbit Green.

Performance sees a step up from the Pulse 2 Pro’s Unisoc T615 silicon to MediaTek’s Helio G100 chipset, paired with a solid 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Selfie duties are handled by a high-resolution 50MP front-facing shooter. Notably, the leak indicates that the Pulse 2T Pro will launch running Android 17 out of the box.

Powering the phone is a 6,000 mAh battery, representing a 20% capacity increase over the standard Pulse 2 Pro. The unit supports 33W wired fast charging to handle the larger cell size.
