Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 Receives Android 17 Update in the US
Motorola has officially begun rolling out the highly anticipated Android 17 update for the Razr Ultra 2026 in the United States. The comprehensive over-the-air (OTA) upgrade brings a suite of design overhauls, enhanced multitasking capabilities, and the debut of Motorola’s proprietary artificial intelligence agent, Qira.
Weighing in at a substantial 4.17GB, users are strongly advised to download the firmware via a stable Wi-Fi connection. Once successfully installed, the device will be updated to software build version A171WLH.38-19-5.
At the forefront of this software evolution is a “fresh, expressive design” aimed at minimizing visual clutter while optimizing everyday usability. The Android 17 interface introduces smarter notification management and faster, more intuitive multitasking, allowing users to access and manage multiple applications simultaneously with greater ease. Under the hood, the update also fortifies the device with the latest security enhancements.
The standout addition to the Razr Ultra 2026 is the integration of Qira, Motorola’s new AI agent. Originally teased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January and confirmed for the Android 17 roadmap last month, Qira aims to streamline daily tasks. To complement this, Motorola has unlocked customization for the dedicated AI Key, allowing users to remap its double-tap function to suit their personal workflow.
Multimedia and sensory experiences have also received a notable boost. The display settings now feature an HDR “Intensity” slider, empowering users to manually brighten the screen and expand color range and clarity for a more tailored viewing experience. Additionally, navigating the user interface feels more tactile, thanks to the newly implemented haptic feedback triggered when dismissing notifications.
