RedMagic 12 Pro+ edges past rival Snapdragon flagships on Geekbench

The RedMagic 12 Pro+ has appeared in a Geekbench 7 listing shortly before its planned October 15 launch in China. The device, identified as Nubia NX819J, recorded 3,677 points in the single-core test and 12,679 in the multi-core test—higher than the other Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 results cited in the supplied report.
How the scores compare
Against the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max result, the RedMagic scores are approximately 3% higher in single-core and 4% higher in multi-core. The gap is modest, and these are individual pre-launch results—not a controlled comparison of retail phones.

RedMagic’s focus on cooling could help explain the lead. The company has teased new cooling technology for the 12 Pro+ but has not yet detailed the system. Effective cooling can help a processor sustain its performance, though one Geekbench run cannot establish how the phone will behave during a long gaming session.
What else is known?
RedMagic plans to unveil the 12 Pro+ in China on October 15 at 2:30 p.m. local time. The company says the phone will be lighter, thinner and narrower than its predecessor, with more rounded corners. It has also teased 0.96mm display bezels, down from 1.25mm, and the return of an under-display front camera.
A separate leak points to an 8,400mAh battery, 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. RedMagic has not confirmed those specifications, so they should be treated as provisional until the launch.
The benchmark gives an early indication of the phone’s performance potential. Its sustained gaming performance, battery life and final hardware details will need to be assessed after the finished device is available.
