Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Phones: Full Launch List & Specs
Qualcomm’s new 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is already headed to several flagship smartphones. Xiaomi has launched the first handset on this list in China, while Honor, iQOO, OnePlus, RedMagic and Motorola have confirmed devices using the same chip. Their release schedules—and how much else we know about them—vary considerably.

The chip choices and announced launch windows are supported by reports on the manufacturers’ Snapdragon Summit announcements. Rumored specifications below remain separate from details the brands have confirmed.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max
Xiaomi launched the 18 Pro Max in China on September 23, making it the first phone on this list to reach the market. It pairs the Extreme chip with a 6.9-inch display and a 2.9-inch rear screen; Xiaomi claims peak brightness of 4,000 nits for both.
Its rear cameras include a 200MP main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto with 3.2× optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide. There is also a 50MP front camera, though the rear display lets users frame selfies with the main camera system. An 8,500mAh battery supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 27W reverse charging.
Global availability needs a distinction: Xiaomi India has posted that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is “going global,” but the linked post does not specifically confirm an Indian or global release for the Pro Max. No Pro Max launch date outside China has been established by that post.
iQOO 16
The iQOO 16 is scheduled for a China launch on September 29. iQOO has teased a 2K display with a 165Hz refresh rate developed with Samsung, putting screen performance at the centre of its pitch.
Other reported features—including a 6.85-inch screen, three 50MP rear cameras, a Q4 gaming chip and an 8,400mAh battery—remain leaks rather than confirmed specifications. The same applies to claims of 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. iQOO has confirmed that the phone will use the Extreme chipset.
Honor Magic9 Pro Max
Honor plans to introduce the Magic9 Pro Max in China on September 28. Its announced camera details include a 200MP main sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches and a 200MP telephoto sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches. Honor says it has worked with cinema-camera company ARRI on the phone’s imaging features; details of the third rear camera have not yet been announced.
The phone is expected in Moss Green, Silver and Shadow Black, with configurations ranging from 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage to 16GB and 1TB. Reports of a 6.8-inch OLED display, 55MP selfie camera and 8,800mAh battery should be treated as unconfirmed until Honor publishes its full specifications. A global launch date has not been announced.
OnePlus 16
OnePlus has confirmed the chip for its next flagship but has not set a launch date. Reports point to a possible China debut later in September, followed by a wider release, but neither window is official.
The supplied report describes a 200MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3× optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, a 6.78-inch 185Hz AMOLED display, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage and a 9,000mAh battery are presented as leaked specifications. Those details should be checked against OnePlus’s final announcement.
RedMagic 12 Pro+
RedMagic has confirmed an October China launch for the 12 Pro+, though it has not provided an exact date or announced global availability. The brand has teased 0.96mm display bezels, a ninth-generation under-display selfie camera and a design with more rounded corners.
An 8,400mAh battery, 120W wired and 80W wireless charging, and configurations with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage have also been reported. For now, those specifications remain unofficial.
Motorola Signature 27
Motorola previewed the Signature 27 at the Snapdragon Summit and says it expects the phone to reach markets worldwide later in 2026. It has not announced an exact release date or price.
Unlike several other phones on this list, the Signature 27 has already been shown publicly. Motorola has highlighted a 50MP main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto, an ArcticMesh cooling system with a larger vapor chamber, and audio developed with Bang & Olufsen. Further camera and availability details are still to come.
