Samsung Galaxy S27 Leaks Reveal Premium Hardware Upgrades and Higher Prices
A new wave of supply-chain leaks has provided an early look at Samsung’s upcoming flagship lineup. A post by industry leaker Lanzuk on the Korean platform Naver, citing Weibo and local industry sources, has revealed the memory, storage, display, and chipset configurations for the entire Galaxy S27 series ahead of its expected launch next year.
Standardized 12GB Base RAM and Next-Gen Memory Standards
The leak indicates that Samsung may finally standardize 12GB of RAM across all entry-level models in the lineup. The flagship Galaxy S27 Ultra will remain the only model to offer a top-tier 16GB RAM option paired with 1TB of storage.
Additionally, both the Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro are tipped to adopt LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 storage technology. This represents a substantial generational leap in memory speed and bandwidth compared to the UFS 4.0 and LPDDR5X standards utilized in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Display and Chipset Upgrades Point to Potential Price Hikes
The leak also corroborates earlier reports regarding processing power and display tech. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to feature regional silicon splits, utilizing Samsung’s Exynos 2700 in select markets while deploying Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in regions like the US.
Display technology is set for an upgrade across the board. The S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are rumored to be the first devices to feature Samsung’s next-generation M16 OLED panel, promising higher peak brightness, improved color accuracy, and reduced power consumption. Meanwhile, the base Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus will step up from the older M13 generation to the M14 OLED panel previously featured on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
While the inclusion of 12GB of RAM on base models and hardware upgrades across the lineup will enhance performance, industry analysts note that these premium components—combined with newer Snapdragon silicon—could force Samsung to increase retail pricing for the S27 generation.
