Xiaomi Expands HyperOS 4 Beta Program Expants To New Devices
Xiaomi is accelerating the rollout of its next-generation operating system, officially opening the third batch of beta testing for HyperOS 4. The latest expansion invites a new wave of users to experience the unreleased software, bringing highly anticipated devices like the REDMI K80 and the MIX Flip 2 into the testing fold.
For Xiaomi enthusiasts eager to get a glimpse of the brand’s software future, the recruitment window is now open via the Xiaomi Community Beta Center.

Enrollment Protocol and Prerequisites
Gaining access to the HyperOS 4 Beta requires a few specific steps. Interested users must first apply through the Xiaomi Community Beta Center.
To ensure a smooth transition, Xiaomi mandates that all participating devices must currently be running the absolute latest build of HyperOS 3. Furthermore, the Xiaomi account used to register for the beta program must strictly match the account logged into the target device.
Once an application is approved, users who do not automatically receive an over-the-air (OTA) update notification can manually trigger the download by navigating to Settings > About Device, and tapping on the Version Number.
What to Expect: Growing Pains of Beta Software
As with any pre-release software, Xiaomi is warning early adopters to anticipate a few temporary performance hiccups.
Immediately following the HyperOS 4 upgrade, users may experience noticeable battery drain and elevated device temperatures. Xiaomi clarifies that this is a normal byproduct of background system compilation and optimization. The company assures testers that thermal and battery performance should normalize within one to three days as the operating system settles.
Because the Beta program is specifically designed to stress-test unreleased features, builds do not adhere to a fixed release schedule and will be pushed out dynamically as development advances.
Testers who encounter bugs, crashes, or glitches are strongly encouraged to utilize the “Services and Feedback” app or the Xiaomi Community Beta group. To expedite troubleshooting, developers request that bug reports include relevant system logs, screen recordings, or screenshots.
