Xiaomi has officially brought its highly anticipated Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max to the Indian market. Following a global unveiling last month, the new lineup aggressively targets the upper mid-range segment, ditching incremental upgrades in favor of industry-defying battery capacities and tank-like physical durability.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max: A 10,000mAh Powerhouse

Leading the charge is the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Priced at ₹49,999, the flagship of the series houses a staggering 10,000mAh battery—roughly double the capacity of today’s standard smartphones. Xiaomi claims this massive cell can comfortably deliver over four days of light usage on a single charge.

To ensure users aren’t tethered to the wall all day waiting for that massive battery to fill, Xiaomi includes a 100W wired charger in the box. Adding to its utility, the device functions as a robust power bank, offering 27W wired reverse charging for earbuds, smartwatches, or even a secondary phone.

Under the hood, the Pro Max is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 12GB of cutting-edge LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of ultra-fast UFS 4.1 storage.

The Standard Pro: Compromises Kept to a Minimum

For those looking for a slightly more accessible entry point, the Redmi Note 17 Pro starts at ₹36,999. While it steps down slightly in raw specifications, it still towers over much of the competition.

The standard Pro packs a formidable 9,000mAh battery, supported by 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and is configured with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
