Motorola’s worst-kept secret is officially taking shape. Just days after an internal beta forum inadvertently confirmed the existence of the Motorola Edge 70 Neo, a new leak has provided the first clear look at the unannounced smartphone.
Recently published renders from Mac Observer leave little to the imagination, showcasing the device’s design, color palette, and a surprisingly robust camera array.
A Vibrant, Curved Design
According to the leaked images, the Edge 70 Neo will debut in four distinct colorways: pink, dark green, light green, and light blue. All four models feature a premium matte finish along the frame, while the pink variant stands out with a unique textured pattern on its rear panel.
Consistent with Motorola’s current design language for the Edge 70 family, the Neo will sport a display with dramatically curved edges, ensuring it looks right at home next to its premium siblings.
Motorola Edge 70 Neo: Heavyweight Camera in a Compact Frame
Perhaps the most striking detail from the renders is the rear camera module. The Edge 70 Neo houses a triple-camera system, with the primary lens boldly branded with a massive 200-megapixel sensor. While real-world photographic performance remains to be seen, equipping a “Neo” model with a 200MP shooter signals Motorola’s intent to bring flagship-level photography to a more accessible, compact device.
The Neo moniker has traditionally been reserved for the smaller handsets in the Edge lineup. For context, the Edge 60 Neo featured a 6.36-inch display, and its predecessor, the Edge 50 Neo, came in at 6.4 inches. Industry watchers expect the Edge 70 Neo to maintain this pocket-friendly footprint.
When it officially launches, the Neo will be the sixth entry in Motorola’s sprawling current-generation portfolio, joining the standard Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, Edge 70 Pro, Edge 70 Pro+, and Edge 70 Max.

The visual leak arrives hot on the heels of a significant internal slip-up. Recently, a “Senior Moto Agent” known as Kevin posted on a Lenovo forum, actively recruiting testers for an Android 17 beta program specifically tailored for the Edge 70 Neo.
Because the beta testing phase is already underway, an official launch is likely imminent and could happen within the next few weeks. Furthermore, the beta sign-up page was targeted at users in India, strongly suggesting that the South Asian market will be the first to get its hands on Motorola’s newest compact powerhouse.
