Google Pixel 11 Series Leaks: New Prices, Pixel Glow LED, and Tensor G6 Revealed

Google is preparing the Pixel 11 event to showcase its latest hardware innovations at its annual “Made by Google” event, scheduled for August 12 in New York City, followed closely by an August 13 launch in India.

While the official reveal remains a few weeks out, prematurely published Amazon listings and industry insiders have effectively pulled back the curtain on the entire lineup: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Higher Starting Prices Match Upgraded Base Storage

According to report details from Droid Life referencing the leaked Amazon storefronts, prospective buyers should brace for a price hike. Across the board, starting prices for the Pixel 11 family appear to be increasing by approximately $100.

However, the price jump comes with a silver lining for entry-level buyers: Google is finally ditching the 128GB tier, making 256GB the new standard storage capacity.

Color offerings spotted by 9to5Google show a refreshed palette. The entry-level Pixel 11 will launch in Midnight, Fuchsia (or Hibiscus), Moss (Pistachio), and Frost. Meanwhile, the Pro models will be offered in more muted tones: Dune, Light Fog, Midnight, and Pine.

Pixel 11 Under the Hood: Tensor G6 and a Crucial Modem Switch

Internally, the entire lineup will feature Google’s new Tensor G6 chipset. Beyond the usual annual processor performance bump, the most significant mechanical upgrade lies in the cellular hardware.

Moving away from the Samsung Exynos modems used in previous generations, Google is reportedly equipping the Pixel 11 series with the MediaTek M90 modem. Given that prior Pixel models occasionally faced criticism for cellular signal instability and standby battery drain, the switch to a more power-efficient MediaTek solution could deliver a major quality-of-life improvement for everyday connectivity.

Battery sizes are also receiving recalibrations:

Visually, the core aesthetic remains consistent with the previous generation, defined by flat displays and the signature horizontal camera visor. However, Google is making a notable functional swap on the back panel.

The infrared temperature sensor found on recent Pro iterations has been completely scrapped. In its place, Google is introducing Pixel Glow—a feature already teased in official marketing materials. Pixel Glow consists of a circular, color-shifting LED light embedded directly into the camera bar. It acts as a subtle visual notification indicator when the device is resting face-down on a surface.

Pixel 11:  Early Peek at the Budget-Friendly Pixel 11a

For buyers waiting on Google’s more affordable A-series, preliminary details regarding the Pixel 11a (codenamed Formosan) have also leaked via Telegram tipsters.

The mid-ranger is expected to sport a 6.3-inch 120Hz display, the same Tensor G6 chip, the MediaTek M90 modem, a 4,870 mAh battery, and an upgraded front-facing camera for clearer video calls. While the primary Pixel 11 flagships hit shelves following the August event, the Pixel 11a is slated for arrival later in the cycle.
