Motorola Android 17 Beta Update Now Live for These Devices
Motorola’s Android 17 beta is finally moving beyond its earliest test devices, with the company now widening access to more models after a slow start. The program, first announced in February, is now reaching additional phones in limited regions, marking a more substantial phase for Motorola’s early Android 17 testing effort.
The latest rollout includes the Motorola Signature, Moto G57 Power, and Motorola Edge 70. According to the update details, the beta package is roughly 4GB in size and is currently appearing in select markets such as India, Brazil, and parts of the EMEA region. Wider availability is expected to follow as Motorola continues expanding the program.
Motorola’s initial Android 17 beta launch came shortly after Google released the first beta build, making the company one of the earliest Android makers to open testing to users. However, despite that head start, the actual rollout to supported devices took longer than expected. Only recently did Motorola begin delivering the update in earnest.
The current beta builds are identified as A171WVH.13 for the Motorola Signature, A171WAAH.16 for the Moto G57 Power, and A171WRH.22 for the Motorola Edge 70. Motorola is expected to keep adding eligible phones over the coming days and weeks.
Users who want to check whether their device has received the update can do so through the phone’s system update menu. The process is straightforward: open Settings, go to System updates, and tap Check for updates. As with most staged rollouts, the update may take several days to reach everyone even within supported regions.
What Motorola Android 17 Beta Brings
Motorola’s first Android 17 beta build introduces several noticeable interface changes. Among the key additions are new lock-screen clock styles, a redesigned notification shade and control center, a refreshed volume mixer, and an updated Settings layout.
The update also expands Live Activities support so it can now work with calls, music, and the torch. Motorola has also refined the app drawer and improved animations, giving the software a more polished feel than earlier test versions.
While this is still a beta build, the changes suggest Motorola is focusing on visual refinement and day-to-day usability rather than dramatic design overhauls. More devices are expected to join the program soon, especially as Motorola continues to push Android 17 testing across its supported lineup.
