Xiaomi HyperOS 4 update: Eligible devices, release date, and rollout details

Xiaomi is preparing HyperOS 4 as its next big software update, with the release expected to align closely with the broader Android 17 cycle. Although the company has not formally announced the update or confirmed a final schedule, multiple reports suggest that HyperOS 4 could be introduced between July and August 2026, with the first stable rollout beginning in the fall.
If that timeline holds, Xiaomi’s most recent flagship phones would be first in line. Current expectations point to an initial deployment for the Xiaomi 17 series and other upper-end models, followed by a wider expansion across Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices later in the year. Several reports place the broader stable rollout around September or October 2026, though regional timing may vary.
As with previous major Xiaomi software releases, HyperOS 4 is expected to arrive in stages rather than all at once. Premium devices are likely to receive the update first, while mid-range and entry-level models may have to wait longer depending on market, firmware branch, and local testing cycles. That rollout strategy has become standard for Xiaomi, especially across its wide multi-brand portfolio.
The biggest question for users is device eligibility. Based on current software support policies and recurring leak-based lists, the HyperOS 4 update is expected to cover a broad range of Xiaomi-branded phones, including the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 13T series, and foldable models such as the Xiaomi Mix Flip. Redmi phones tipped for the update include the Redmi Note 15 and Redmi Note 14 families, along with newer Redmi 15, Redmi A, and Redmi Pad devices.
POCO is also expected to receive a substantial share of the rollout. Devices frequently mentioned in HyperOS 4 compatibility reports include the POCO F8 Pro, POCO F8 Ultra, POCO F7 series, POCO F6 series, POCO X8 Pro, POCO X7 line, and several POCO M and C series models, as well as selected tablets.
What remains missing, however, is Xiaomi’s final official confirmation. Until the company publishes a formal rollout roadmap, all device lists should be treated as expected compatibility rather than a guaranteed update promise. Even so, the overlap between multiple reports suggests that the broad direction is already visible: newer flagship devices will lead the HyperOS 4 rollout, followed by a much larger second wave covering recent Redmi and POCO hardware.
