HMD Vibe 2 5G Set for May 21 Launch in India With Impressive Specs

Following a series of promotional teasers, HMD has officially announced the launch date and several key specifications for its upcoming HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The new device is scheduled to make its official debut on May 21. This handset serves as the direct successor to the original HMD Vibe 5G, which was introduced to the Indian market in September of the previous year.

A dedicated landing page on the e-commerce platform Flipkart, alongside recent promotional materials, has confirmed some of the device’s standout internal hardware. The smartphone is confirmed to be powered by a substantial 6,000mAh battery, which is paired with support for 18W fast charging capabilities. Furthermore, HMD has revealed that the HMD Vibe 2 5G will feature a high-resolution 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear.

From a design perspective, the Vibe 2 5G appears to draw clear visual inspiration from Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro series. The back panel incorporates a raised, rectangular camera module that accommodates two separate image sensors alongside an LED flash unit. Consumers will be able to purchase the device through Flipkart as well as through various physical retail stores across the country. Upon release, the smartphone will be offered in three distinct color options: Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink.
